Lettering and parts for classic scooters
Your own text as an emblem in the style of the old side-panel badges – and plastic parts you can’t buy anywhere anymore. 3D-printed from weatherproof ASA at Lake Ammersee, Germany.
Rollerpass – now as an app
Every scooter gets its own pass: photos, specs, mods. Plus rides near you. Free.
Your lettering, planned to the millimetre
Engine size, model, a name or your home town: type your text, choose font and colours. The preview shows the emblem true to scale – so before you order you can see how big it will look on your side panel.
- Four fonts from classic to condensed, 15 to 30 mm letter height
- Printed in two colours: base and raised letters in your colours
- ASA, UV-resistant and heat-resistant – keeps its shape even in high summer
- With strong mounting tape, simply stick it on
from €24.90incl. shipping within Germany, each additional piece €16.90 · other countries: shipping on request · clubs and workshops: volume discount from 5 pieces
Our own fonts, no copies of original lettering or brand logos. I check texts containing third-party brand names before confirming.

What they look like for real
Printed sample letterings on our workshop table. The frame and centre bar hold the letters together (just like the originals), and the letters stand raised above the base – exactly as in the configurator preview.
The scooter tag: your number to scan
Every scooter in the Rollerpass has a fixed number. The scooter tag turns it into a small badge in the style of the Italian tax disc – red ring, light centre, your number. Inside is an NFC chip: hold a phone to it and your scooter’s pass opens.
- With your scooter number – it is filled in automatically
- NFC chip made for metal, works directly on the bodywork
- Weatherproof ASA, “scoottec.de” recessed in the raised ring
- Stick it on, screw it on or put it on your key ring – strong adhesive tape included.
€14.90incl. shipping within Germany · each additional tag with the same number €9.90 · other countries: shipping on request
You design and order it in the Rollerpass: your number is already fixed there, you just choose the version and quantity. Adding your scooter is free.

Not available anymore? I’ll re-engineer it.
Broken holders, lost caps, yellowed covers: send me photos and measurements, I’ll redesign the part, print it from ASA and include a measurement report. Also for models not listed here.

Design and print
I design the part on the computer and print it from ASA – a test piece first, if you like.
Shipped with measurement report
The report shows target size, measured size and material – in black and white.
What works
- Decorative, trim and cover parts made of plastic
- Parts for inside and outside, including sun and rain
- One-offs and small series for clubs or workshops
from €39design incl. 30 minutes, printing as quoted
What I don’t do
- Safety-relevant parts: brakes, steering, suspension, throttle and brake controls, load-bearing parts
- Parts for fuel or oil that are under pressure or heat
- Lighting, reflectors and mirrors – they need a type approval mark
- Original logos, brand emblems and original lettering
All parts are replicas, not original parts. I only mention manufacturer and model names so you can see what a part fits.
Why ASA and not PLA
Dark paint quickly reaches 70 degrees Celsius in the summer sun. Many cheap prints are made of PLA – it softens from about 60 °C and warps. That’s why I print outdoor parts from ASA: dimensionally stable up to around 95 °C and so UV-resistant that it doesn’t yellow or become brittle.
Typical softening temperatures, varying slightly by manufacturer.

Measured with a digital caliper. As a physicist, I measure instead of guessing.
From the workshop at Lake Ammersee
Behind Scoottec are Sophie – physicist and mathematician, in charge of design and software – and Flo, an expert in scooter customising. We print every part ourselves, check the measurements and reply to your enquiry personally. If you’re from the area, you can also pick up your part.
Show off your scooter
In the Rollerpass, every scooter gets its own page – like a trading card: photos, year, engine size, mods and the story behind it. Browse, get ideas for your next build, sell scooters privately and find rides nearby. Free.

Frequently asked questions
Where do you deliver?
Shipping is free within Germany. I also deliver to all other countries – I calculate the shipping costs on request and tell you before confirming the order.
How do I attach the lettering?
There is mounting tape on the back. Clean the spot with isopropyl alcohol, stick the lettering on at 15 °C or warmer and press it firmly for a moment. Leave it alone for 24 hours before washing the scooter.
Does the lettering survive washing?
Yes, rain and normal washing are no problem. Just don’t point a pressure washer directly at the edge from close range.
Can you copy my scooter’s original lettering?
No. Original lettering and logos are protected. But you can design any text of your own in the style of classic emblems.
Do you need the old part?
Good photos with a ruler and the key measurements are often enough. For complicated shapes it’s easier if you lend me the part – you get it back with the new one.
Does a reprinted part need to be registered?
I only print parts that don’t need a type approval mark, i.e. decorative, cover and holding parts. If you’re unsure whether a part affects your vehicle’s roadworthiness approval, check with your local inspection authority before fitting it.
How do I attach the scooter tag?
With the enclosed adhesive pad on a clean, grease-free spot (clean with isopropyl alcohol, 15 °C or warmer), with the M4 screw through the eyelet, or on your key ring. The NFC chip is made for metal and works directly on the bodywork.
What happens when someone scans the scooter tag?
The phone opens your scooter’s pass in the Rollerpass – with photos, specs and mods. You decide what’s shown there. The chip only contains the link, no personal data.
Can I return something I don’t like?
Lettering, scooter tags with your number and parts made to your specifications are custom-made. That’s why there is no right of withdrawal and no exchange for them. If something is defective, I’ll fix it or make it again. Details are in the terms and conditions.
Will I get an invoice?
Yes, by email. No VAT is charged under § 19 UStG (German small business scheme). Invoices are issued in German.
Can I write to you in English?
Of course – I’ll reply in English.
Let’s go
I usually reply within two working days.
